An Archer Update…

The Archer’s Garden and Maintenance turns a year and a half this month. Here’s what has been going on over here during that time. When serendipity strikes in Santa Fe it can feel like a mighty bolt. The month I opened, an opportunity came my way that has led to steady gardening work - a dream come true for a new business. I get to prune fruit trees, feed birds, water trees and plant pollinator-feeding perennials, all while basking in the sun as the birds chirp and whistle.

Thank you to the Santa Fe community for embracing my small business. I will be forever grateful. In return I vow to leave Santa better than I found it, by educating my community about natural pesticides (prevention is the best defense), extolling the benefits of native plants for pollinators and reversing habitat loss by planting high desert meadow gardens anywhere I can.

In spring we will start building out a few gardens that I’m planning now. I cannot wait to share some of the process with you as things unfold.

May your 2024 be full of joy, gratitude and good food.
